ABOUT THE FESTIVAL:
Social Media Film Festival took place Sat. September 8 to Sun. September 9. The first day was exclusively at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
On Sunday, September 9th, there was a director’s workshop put on by Indie Film Factory at their studio.
In Your Head Productions celebrates social media by holding a film festival with feature films, documentaries, shorts and film panels. One film panel was about how filmmakers can promote social change through social media. Another panel was all about Visual Effects.
The Social Media Film Festival envisions thought-provoking films that touch on the human experience and how we use technology to advance human kind. We are showcasing films that make us think about our futures not as one country, but as one planet.
The festival encourages films with visual effects. Smaller budgeted films can produce amazing things with the advances in motion graphics and visual effects. Independent filmmakers are independent thinkers with fresh ideas and new ways of seeing the world. As technology is ever-changing, our need as artists, filmmakers and human beings to connect with each other in business and our personal lives is constantly growing and evolving. SMFF looks to bring films together from all over the world to celebrate social media and the art of filmmaking.
