FEATURES & SHORTS
The festival is the Social Media Film Festival. Films generally will be about social media, social change and technology. Films do NOT have to follow these concepts. It would benefit you if you have a film that touches on these subjects. We also encourage films with visual effects. If we gain the opportunities to open up to additional categories we will do so and will update as well.
There is a Documentary Feature category. That makes 3 separate categories; Features, Documentary Features and Shorts. If you see two categories (Features and Shorts) on the submission forms simply check Documentary in ‘Check all that apply’. For shorts that are documentaries, simply check Short Film & Documentary.
All other genres such as Sci-Fi and Comedies will all be grouped together in the feature film or short film categories. Until we receive an abundance of films in those other genres, there will not be categories for those genres.. Animation and music videos are encouraged as well especially if they fit into the themes above.
*The 4 categories in the PayPal menu are Features, Feature Documentaries, Shorts and Student Films.
